The blissful ecstasy of electronic dance music- it makes our hearts beating and represents the soundtrack for some of the most beautiful hours in our lives. But still there is more: The mutual experience connected with it namely. Those priceless moments when we exchange glances with each other and express our agreement about everything just being perfect for the moment by a big, mutual smile. This relaxed and familiar vibe which is at least as important for a very special party experience as the records on the turntables- this is exactly where the idea for the festival of the illustrious 3000° travelling circus crew arose.
 
 
And so this summery open air pleasure in the land of thousand lakes, the North-East corner of Germany, starts with easy guitar songs at the campfire. Yes, the associations striking you now are absolutely desired! Because it will become quite a special atmosphere, when a daring mixture of travelling performers, adventurers and other charming-eccentric characters is romping about between forest- and beach- stage, between circus tent and campfire. This multicoloured crowd will be excellently entertained not only by the artists of the travelling circus with their spectacular sound acrobatics and hypnotic beat juggling but also by quite an amount of bands and non-electronic musicians. “Wald, See & 3000Grad” – forest, lake and 3000°… For all those who feel addressed when hearing these words now: Get your freak freighter ready for take-off, grab your tent and don’t forget your swimming trunks!

Ladies and gentlemen: Come one, come all! Fantastic sensations for all of your senses expect you: Let yourself be hypnotized by the driving, hypnotic rhythms of our acoustic acrobats, put your eyes to the test with astonishing optical illusions and tickle your tongue with exotic tastes! Become an artist yourself and let yourself fall into the frisky- joyful hubbub in the ring!

Psychedelic Circus opens its gates at the last weekend in May for the already eleventh time. To be more precise, it is an extra-long weekend because from Thursday to Monday, visitors will have full four nights and four days to explore all the different attractions. And again there is quite something to discover: As already known from the past years, some of the most skilled and spectacular music jugglers have been invited to persuade the feet on the dance floor to perform artistic jumps and acrobatic step patterns. A complete announcement of all the artist names would simply extend the amount of these lines to the astronomic, but one thing shall be assured: Again it became a very exciting and entertaining mixture and the sound all together truly pays tribute to the term “Psychedelic” in the festival’s name. And so does the optical arrangement: An entirely new decoration concept has been ordered that will create the perfect background for the colourful hustle and bustle in the ring and the surrounding areas with multicoloured installations and a mind-altering lighting.

Psychedelic Circus strives for sustainable party together with mother nature, for this reason there will be a trash deposit again this year. To improve this issue even more, the separation of waste will be introduced on the festival ground.

So one may be excited for quite a spectacular summer kick-off when it goes in Psychedelic Circus: Clear the ring!

Ancient Indian tribe gatherings and modern Trance culture do have a huge amount of common grounds. This astonishing fact can be watched every year at the first weekend in September on an acre in North- East Germany: Now and then the members of the tribe travel even from remote areas to join these ritual meetings. And so now and then it become pretty colourful gatherings. Now and then the party attendants dance ecstatically to percussive rhythms. And now and then a mystic, yes magic moment evolves during these gatherings: The legendary Spirit.

On the one hand, Indian Spirit Festival marks the ending of the North- European outdoor season, on the other there are quite some reasons why it could be described as it’s climax. The musical program is an absolute highlight from year to year, for all the different corners of nowadays Trance scene: If sunlit Progressive, intoxicating Psychedelic or Full On sounds, energy- loaded Dark or streamlined Nu School Progressive- just every style is featured. And not just somehow: Names like California Sunshine, 40%, Domestic, X-Dream, Liquid Soul, Midimal, Emok, Gaudium or John 00 Flemming represent the current musical crème de la crème and this is just an extract from the huge line up. The pushing sounds from these artists can be heard out of a sophisticated 8-point sound system, which the one or the other might remember from 2007. Last year’s very positive feedback about the Dark floor will be put to practice, by the way, so that this area will be extended. A new decoration concept offers the appropriate scenery to meet the whole tribe again before the winter season starts, during the nights the site will be transform into a surreal ocean of lights, colours and laser beams.

Also the infrastructure of the festival has been improved. There will be shower containers provided with warm water. And concerning the rubbish, a separation of it will be introduced on the ground and also the tried and tested trash deposit will be kept.

To enjoy the very special atmosphere of Indian Spirit in a relaxed mood and being able to step on the gas and party extensively together with the sun, the moon and the stars one more time, the festival will be held for full five days!

While most of the German promoters unfortunately had to complain about more and more decreasing visitor numbers, Indian Spirit got more and more popular and grew steadily bigger during the last years. Not without reason: Its sophisticated arrangement, the exquisite selection of music and finally a convenient date concerning the weather made it the perfect opportunity to finish the outdoor season for an international audience.

Combining state-of-the-art event technology and a sophisticated decoration concept with the ancient ideas of a tribal gathering and a shamanic ritual: This is Indian Spirit. Already well known for its excellent lineups, also this year delivers some of the tastiest acts of the scene: Liquid Soul, Rocky, Azax Syndrom, Bim, D-Nox and Zombi are just a few examples and already give you a hint how varied and entertaining the music will be. For those who are fond of Dark there will be an extra floor. Like also the years before there will be a new decoration, a massive laser show and some trippy other lightings. As the last big, international festival in the European summer this is a great possibility to meet all the friends you met and made during the summer for a last time before the winter season. And to have a really relaxed time together this festival already starts on Thursdays and lasts till Monday!

You might know that feeling quite well: After the cold and grey winter in Central Europe you get really keen on some great festival. Clubbing is just not the same as listening to music that is not reflected by any walls, breathing the fresh air, feeling the sun on your skin and watching the sunrise while dancing…

Just in the beginning of summer, Psychedelic Circus is the perfect opportunity to satisfy your festival hunger and have a wicked kick-off for the outdoor season. Being a big, international event on the one hand but still kind of familiar on the other, it combines an excellent and varied lineup and high-class infrastructure with a really great atmosphere. The musical bandwidth will cover all the different styles of nowadays Trance scene: Massive Progressive Trance from acts like Ace Ventura, Klopfgeister or highly rated newcomer Phaxe and driving Full On by Rumble Pack, Optokoppler or CPU to name just a few. As a special there will be a Dark Floor for all those who like it deep and dirty. According to its name, Psychedelic Circus delivers you complete entertainment, not only great stuff for your ears but also for your eyes: The promoter always cares for some very sophisticated decoration and lighting, which will be specially designed for the festival!

Just at the beginning of the open air season the opportunity for a very special Psychedelic Experience arises: Situated quite exactly in the middle of the summer aorta of our scene, the famous “Goa Highway 24” between Hamburg and Berlin, this festival makes come true what it’s name implies for four days. For this very purpose, a colourful mixture of international artists has been invited, who will draw a sophisticated musical suspense curve during the event. The focus remains on powerful and straight Psychedelic sound here. For example the South Africans Chabunk and Corona, Gameboy from Switzerland or Hyperion from Germany will represent that certain “Serious Psy Trance” style, with which the label Solar Tech Records has recently risen quite some attention within the scene. But also beside the musical aspect, Psychedelic Experience lives up to it’s name: An international but still familiar flair offers the perfect opportunity to meet friends from whole Europe and make acquaintance with interesting new people. The festival will be held on the same venue as it used to during the past years. As a special, this one has a clear bathing lake just a short walk away from the centre of action which invites for a nice summer refreshment. And to make all this fun complete, the party will continue up till Monday!

For sure there is traditionally no lack of Trance festivals in the area of North Germany: One can spend quite the whole summer just hopping from one party acre to the next. But nevertheless Tshitraka festival has always been kind of special between all the other events. With its focus on Progressive Trance it presented the absolute crème de la crème of this genre and used to be an eye resp. ear catcher with extraordinary complete and spectacular line ups from year to year. Tshitraka’s concept was completed by a very stylish venue during the last years: The old soviet military airport of Alt Daber with its numerous hangars, its huge runway and even a remotely situated ghost town represented an unique combination of post-modern industrial style and the beautiful nature of the area- just the perfect place for a modern adult adventure playground with heaps of areas and sceneries to discover. Last but not least the festival site was upgraded with a decoration at least as progressive as the music. Decently placed and well arranged it always used to be kind of grown up and sophisticated and far away from being overloaded or kitschy. Together with the massive laser and light effects it offered an impressing view at night from top of one of the hangars surrounding the dance floors.

Tshitraka never used to be one of these mega events but on the other hand it would be wrong to call it small. What quite everybody who attended this festival once kept in mind is the very, very international flair: People from all countries of Europe and also some more international travellers mixed up on the dance floors and in the cosy camping area. Often English seemed to be the most spoken language. Combined with the manageable size of the event this virtually provoked a very friendly and familiar atmosphere and the formation of many international acquaintances and friendships. On a Sunday afternoon on the dance floor people often had the impression to know quite everybody around there and the feeling of what many call an international gathering became really true in those moments.

After 8 years of steady evolution the festival takes a break this year. Strong changes are going on in the scene since some time and so it has become necessary to reconfigure certain things. To keep the great atmosphere of the past years and to adapt the characteristics of nowadays scene, the promoters Montagu & Golkonda take some time out to reflect the current changes.
